Grade-II listed York city centre hotel up for sale at £3m

The Judges Court Hotel in York has been put up for sale, with offers sought in excess of £3 million. The hotel is housed in a Grade-II listed four-storey Georgian townhouse and comprises 15 uniquely designed bedrooms.
The hotel is located in a hidden courtyard on York’s Coney Street, within the city’s medieval walls and in close proximity to the city centre. It dates back to the 18th century, when it provided exclusive lodging for judges in the city, with each of its rooms named after a notable judge who resided in the hotel.
The hotel features eight double rooms, two twin rooms, four luxury king rooms and a luxury king room. While the hotel is room only and does not have a bar or restaurant, each room comes equipped with a mini-bar and coffee-making facilities, along with numerous other features. All rooms are en-suite with drench showers, while the luxury king room features a rolltop bath.
Judges Court Hotel is currently owned and managed by Lee Robinson and Steve Gledden, who acquired the hotel in 2015 and have operated it as a sister hotel to The Churchill, situated a short walk away in the Clifton neighbourhood of York.
The owners have appointed specialist property agent Knight Frank to handle the sale process for the hotel, with the firm expecting the hotel's location, illustrious history and existing regeneration plans to attract significant levels of interest from potential buyers.
