Daish’s Group to sell three UK hotels

Daish’s Group has instructed property consultancy Savills to market three hotels from its portfolio for sale. The group is selling the freeholds of the Barrowfield Hotel, Newquay, the County Hotel, Kendal and Daish’s Blackpool. The hotels are available either individually or as a portfolio.
The Barrowfield is a coastal hotel featuring 80 en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant with 170 covers and a ballroom with a 130 capacity, as well as an indoor swimming pool, games room and sauna.
The County Hotel, an 18th century hotel located in Kendal town centre, has 41 en-suite bedrooms, a 75 cover restaurant, coffee shop and bar. The hotel is being listed with a guide price of £1.85 million.
Daish’s Blackpool is a coastal hotel located on the end of a terrace, featuring 72 en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant with 130 covers, a coffee shop, bar and entertainment room. It is being listed with a guide price of £1.95 million.
Tom Cunningham, director for Hotel Capital Markets at Savills, said: "We are pleased to have been appointed to sell a number of assets across the UK for our client. All three hotels sit in strong trading locations and offer an incoming purchaser excellent potential to capitalise on the sustained consumer demand for staycations."
Daish’s Managing Director George Brown added that, while the group was placing these assets on the market “with a heavy heart”, the company would continue to look at opportunities to expand its portfolio and to find hotels that “offer a better fit for our customers.”
