Danish software firm Omnidocs has expanded into the UK with the acquisition of a Reigate-based document productivity tools provider.
Presentation Solutions, founded in 2004, provides productivity tools primarily to firms within accounting, transaction advisory, and banks in the UK and US, as well as internationally.
Its clients include AstraZeneca, Investec and BDO.
Omnidocs, backed by Main Capital Partners, is a document generation and automation company. Beyond software, Omnidocs offers consultancy services, providing clients with support to streamline the flow of work and increase output precision.
The deal marks the fourth add-on acquisition for Omnidocs.
Dimitri Constantinou, co-founder and director of Presentation Solutions, said the deal showed how the automation of software has grown in importance in recent years as companies look to boost productivity.
"When Presentation Solutions started in 2004 document automation software was little known except for the in-house solutions of the largest banking groups,” he said. "We set out to build products which allowed more companies access to the incredible efficiency gains that this type of software provides. We have known the Omnidocs management team for some years and admired their products and solutions.”
He said merging into the Omnidocs Group brings together the innovation and experience of the combined management teams and product ranges for the future benefit of all stakeholders: clients, employees and investors.
Jeppe Schytte-Hansen, chief executive and co-founder of Omnidocs, added: "I am very excited about the process we have had for the past three months and the future with Presentation Solutions as a part of Omnidocs. We have found some like-minded people, some great and relevant products and we are tapping into a really interesting market with knowledgeable people on the ground. The product offering will also strengthen our productivity offering to all our clients that represents 3.5 million users, reducing frustrations and saving time for a lot of people when working with documents."
