My Tribe, a residential children’s home service provider, has secured a growth capital facility from ThinCats, which will support its expansion plans across the South East. The company, which was founded in 2021 by Poonam and Ravi Sharma, accommodates children with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs.
With strong demand for its services across the South East and nationally, the company plans to expand over the coming years to help support more children. The company currently operates two homes, Phoenix House and Aurora House in Maidstone.
The new funding from ThinCats has supported the acquisition of Nova House and Lotus House, which are set to be operational over the coming months. Further sites have been sourced as the company seeks to grow over the next few years.
My Tribe commented: "We are delighted Thincats is supporting our mission to deliver love-led, transformational outcomes to vulnerable children in the South East. This will help us in taking a small step towards tackling the current sufficiency crisis. Satyen and the team understand this sector well and are fully aligned with our ethos and values."
Satyen Shingadia, relationship director healthcare at ThinCats, added: "I have known Ravi and the family for over 15 years and am delighted to have supported him and Poonam in their mission to provide high quality homes with a strong focus to transform the lives of the children under their care. We look forward to supporting their ambitious future plans for expansion across the South East."
