North West accountancy makes third acquisition in 16 months

North West accountants practice bennettbrooks has made its third acquisition in 16 months with a deal for Altrincham-based firm MBL (Business and Tax Advisers). The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, supports bennettbrooks’ expansion and growth plans, taking its employee headcount to 180.
MBL was founded in 2002 and supports clients across Greater Manchester and the surrounding area. The company’s employees will be retained following the acquisition, ensuring continuity of service for clients and bringing additional expertise and resources into the bennettbrooks team.
The acquisition adds another location to bennettbrooks’ growing UK presence, building on its base in Northwich and offices in Chester, Macclesfield, Southport, Cheadle, Leek and Llandudno. Bennettbrooks, which was established in 1991, provides a range of accountancy services, including payroll, corporate finance, audit, tax planning, forensic accountancy and IT support.
Commenting on the latest acquisition, bennettbrooks Managing Director Yvonne Wood said: “The acquisition of MBL strengthens our presence in Greater Manchester whilst supporting our growth plans.”
